Q: Are there any subscription, submission, posting and back-end fees associated with www.athletesgive.com?

A: No. It is a FREE site for all users and there are NO FEES of any kind. Athletesgive.com drives traffic to the event’s existing presence on the internet and any and all revenue, including but not limited to donations, ticket/package sales and sponsorships, derived and generated from such traffic is 100% owned by the event.

Q: Who completes the event submission form on the site?

A: Athlete agents, advisors and business managers; team representatives; foundation and charity staff members and volunteers; marketing and public relations executives and specialists; existing event sponsors; and family, friends and fans. Basically, anyone who knows of an athlete event or program in the USA or anywhere in the world is encouraged to complete the event submission form. The site launched with events submitted by the www.athletesgive.com team in order to provide a small sample of the aggregated and powerful message that can be sent when events are submitted and posted in mass quantity.

Q: What happens once an event is submitted?

A: The site is notified and verifies the information. Once verification occurs, which shall happen as quickly as possible, the event will be posted live on the site.

Q: Does the person submitting the event need to interact or communicate with athletesgive.com once an event is submitted?

A: No. The platform and event submission process is designed to be as simple, user-friendly and time sensitive as possible.

Q: What type of events and programs does the site capture?

A: The site captures any and all foundation and athlete hosted or created community service events and initiatives including but not limited to celebrity golf, basketball, bowling, softball, soccer, billiards, dodgeball and ping pong tournaments; dinners, cocktail receptions and auctions; concerts; raffles; 5K walks and runs; bicycle races and marathon sponsored teams; mentoring, skill and leadership building workshops; performance based donation programs; fantasy sports contests; toy and food drives; turkey, dinner and holiday giveaways; camps and clinics; merchandise and book sales; and scholarship, grants and need based awards. If an athlete is performing great work in the community to benefit a specific cause or charity, then www.athletesgive.com wants to highlight it!

Q: Is the term “athlete” broadly defined?

A: Yes. For purposes of the site, the term “athlete” includes active and retired athletes, coaches and sportscasters.

Q: When completing the event submission form, what should I do if the event extends more than one day and each day is at a different location?

A: Choose between 1 through 5 in “Number of Event Locations” and the site will prompt you to complete information for “Event Location 1” and “Event Location 2” and “Event Location 3” etc.

Q: When completing the event submission form, what should I do if the event extends more than one day, but each day is at the same location?

A: You have a choice. You could either a) submit the event as one location and discuss the different components of the event in the Additional Information Box at the end of the form; or b) treat each day as a separate event location. For example, if there’s a cocktail reception on Sunday and a golf tournament on Monday at the same venue which is all part of the same overall event, then please select “2” for “Number of Event Locations” even though both components of the event occur at the same venue. The site will prompt you to complete information for “Event Location 1” and “Event Location 2.”

Q: When completing the event submission form, what should I do if the event extends more than one day and the event has multiple time periods in the same day?

A: Treat each time period as a different Event Location. For example, if there’s a brunch on Sunday at a hotel, a cocktail reception on the same Sunday at the same hotel and a golf tournament on Monday at a different venue, then please select “3” for “Number of Event Locations” even though both Sunday components of the overall event occur at the same venue. The site will prompt you to complete information for “Event Location 1” and “Event Location 2” and “Event Location 3.”

Q: When completing the event submission form, what should I do if the event is a donation program or raffle without a true physical address to enter?

A: Please select “1” for “Number of Event Locations” and enter the athlete foundation, charity or team address information.

Q: When completing the event submission form, what type of information can be included in the “Additional Information Box” at the end of the form?

A: Basically anything to further explain and highlight the event including but limited to specific details, participation fees, sponsorship opportunities and additional foundation or charity information.

Q: When completing the event submission form, do I need to include anything in the “Additional Information Box” at the end of the form?

A: No. Feel free to leave it blank. The box is simply an opportunity for you to further explain and highlight the event.
